To coincide with the release of Jurassic World, not a typical side game (a crooked action movie) was released, but a whole park simulator with dinosaurs. He’s captivating at first, but soon discovers more and more skeletons in his closet.
Jurassic World: Evolution

Fact, that’s the way it is, I’m bloodthirsty myself) But couldn’t it have been possible to create other conditions for escape, instead of the inevitable demolition of the wall?
Not “I’ll hide under the sofa and die,” but “I’ll hit the wall with my head and go eat people,” because that’s what you need to do when you’re sad, judging by this game.
Let me explain with a https://jackpot-village.co.uk/mobile-app/ specific example. A storm comes to the island, it will last about two minutes, which is quite normal for the game. While it lasts, the comfort of ALL dinosaurs on the island quickly decreases. For herbivores, the lower limit of comfort is just, uh, low enough that they won’t have time to get angry before the end of the storm. But for velociraptors the lower limit is 85%. That is, they only need a few seconds to go crazy. It’s impossible to distract them – I deliberately kept the tasty herbivores and released them at the beginning of the storm, but the predators didn’t care, they rushed towards the fence. A few blows and there is no fence.
This is the only scenario other than putting the raptors to sleep as soon as the storm warning arrives. And all the other nervous predators.
Likewise, I was a fan of the Jurassic series and was partial to the theme of all those majestic extinct creatures. I was also ready to buy this game until I saw your stream. There was a strong feeling of an early access product, which, in fact, only strengthens this review.
Thanks to Evgeniy for your usefulness. The irony has gone.
Maybe the authors don’t “fundamentally do not understand the causes of the disaster,” but they do understand that the majority will sit down to play this game precisely so that the escaped dinosaurs will eat the visitors?
Extremely upset because expectations for the game were too high. I just don’t understand one thing, it would seem that all the mechanics in this genre were invented and are a hundred years old, but here it’s as if they deliberately decided not to use them (I’m talking about manual control of everything and everyone + micromanagement) in order to artificially draw the player into the gameplay in the “do it all by yourself” mode. This is sad(
Thank you, Zhenya! Cool review, I liked it)) Just don’t hide in a corner. It’s unlikely that a creature created from your DNA from a fossil will be able to review as well)
Well, this is what the developers wanted – an almost guaranteed breakthrough. The whole approach of the game “screams” about this, where the tycoon part is not as developed as “accepted”, and the situation under discussion is noticeably more likely than, again, accepted for the genre. And the developers can understand – AAA-taycoon is not something you can confidently invest money in now. T.e. the mass public will buy in the wake of films, but the mass public does not like sophisticated tycoons and wants dinosaurs to eat people. Naturally, fans of strategy games will not like this, but if you focus only on them, then the visual elaboration will be at the level of “contour maps”, otherwise it will not be profitable. 😉
And I understand the nature of the complaints about this. But you need to look a little deeper and also think about what your audience is: are they just fans of complex strategies or site visitors in general?. Do you tell them about a game in which the design of the park is not well thought out, or about a game where you can quickly destroy the park, and then the dinosaurs eat the visitors?. 🙂
Thanks for the review. Surprisingly, the expectations and the result changed between the review and the game: I was expecting a good game, and a mediocre review from Zhenya, but with his review he managed to tell everything about the passable game, and present it all in an interesting form. And yet, it’s a pity that the developers didn’t make a good tycoon.
